Ingredients
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
¼ cup milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, sour cream, and milk.
Stir in dry ingredients, then gently fold in strawberries.
Pour into the pan, top with extra berries if desired.
Bake 30–35 minutes. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for best flavor. Frozen berries can work if tossed with a little flour before mixing in.
