Blend up this refreshing Shamrock Protein Shake a creamy, minty green smoothie packed with protein, perfect for post-workout fuel or a healthy treat!
Ingredients
- 1 scoop vanilla or plain protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 1 small frozen banana
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/2 avocado or 1/2 cup fresh spinach
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (or to taste)
- Handful of ice cubes
- Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (if you like it sweeter)
- Optional toppings: cacao nibs, fresh mint, coconut flakes
Instructions
Blend the base: In a high-speed blender, combine the milk, banana, protein powder, spinach or avocado, and peppermint extract.
Add ice & sweeten: Toss in the ice cubes and sweetener (if using). Blend until creamy and smooth.
Taste & adjust: Add more mint or a splash more milk if needed.
Serve it up: Pour into a tall glass and garnish with mint leaves or a sprinkle of cacao nibs for that extra magic.
Notes
Use frozen banana for a thick texture.
Don’t overdo the mint. Start small and adjust to taste.
Blend greens first with the liquid if your blender isn’t high-powered.
