Instructions

1. Whip the Coffee Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water. Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture on high speed for about 3-5 minutes until it forms stiff peaks. If you don’t have a hand mixer, you can also use a whisk, but be prepared to whisk for 8-10 minutes for the same result. The coffee should become thick and frothy, with a creamy texture.

2. Heat the Milk

While the coffee mixture is whipping, heat the milk. You can do this either on the stovetop in a small saucepan or in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Be sure to heat the milk until it is steaming but not boiling. You want the milk to be warm, so it complements the whipped coffee.
